My Favorite Things Stamps...WSC # 43 & November 2011 GDT Contest....Hey, Pumpkin!

Photobucket
Hello stampin' friends! I hope you are having fun with the last minute preparations for Halloween. We have been doing some pumpkin carving and Hannah still hasn't decided on a costume...eeek!

Well, I wanted to use this gorgeous My Minds Eye Halloween paper, Mischievous, before Halloween is over. I teamed it up with this absolutely adorable Pure Innocence stamp set from My Favorite Things, Pumpkin Patch Girl. When I saw this cutie in her turtle neck sweater...I just had to have her! I LOVE turtle necks! She is so cute and cozy looking, don't ya think?

I made this card with this week's MFTWSC sketch # 43 and I also made it for the November Guest Design Team Challenge...this month the challenge is....Bling It On!!!!!
Photobucket
I cut a little treat bag on my Silhouette Digital Craft Cutter to coordinate with my card and put a few Lindor chocolates inside. I found some gorgeous black bling Swirls called Nestabling by Want2Scrap at Winners the other day for a steal. I got a bundle of various bling shapes for $5.99. The bling coordinates with your Spellbinders Nestibilites shapes and there is some other shapes too. I have used the Swirls and individual little Rhinestone gems on my card and treat bag.
Photobucket
I coloured this cute Pumpkin Patch Girl with my Copics, paper pieced her outfit and the pumpkins in her wagon, cut her out and pop-dotted her on the long panel. I added a little bling to the wagon wheels and some Twinery Twine.
Photobucket
Here is the inside of the card....I shadow stamped the PI cutie again, added another sentiment from the Pumpkin Patch Girl set on the Framed Greetings Die-namics die and I added a heart from the Hearts of Plenty Die-namics set, cut from Adhesive Cork Material.

Thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card!

Hope you have a Happy Halloween with lots of yummy treats!!!

Pink Ink Sketch Challenge # 8...Dreamerland Crafts Stamps...Enjoy the season!

Photobucket
Hey crafty friends! I made this card with the great sketch that they have over at Pink Ink Sketch Challenge by Ann Vento. I loved this sketch and will definitely use it again for my Christmas cards this year.  I also got a chance to use one of my cute new stamps from Dreamerland Crafts Rubberstamps called Skating Rink Fun. The Dreamerland Crafts Rubberstamps are released by Pointers Gifts and Crafts, a local Stamp and Scrapbooking store in Markham, Ontario. I first laid eyes on these sweet stamps at Scrapfest in Oshawa a two weekends ago and I thought they were absolutely darling. I really enjoyed colouring the image with myCopics and I liked the sketchy feel and cute Animee look of them.
Photobucket
I used my 6x6  BasicGrey Nordic Holiday paper pad for this card. I used the Mini-rolled Roses Die-nmaics for the flowers cut them from My Favorite Felt, Blue Skies. I also used the new Vintage Flourish Die-nmaics Die. The sentiment comes with the My Favorite things, Winter in the City Stamp set.
Photobucket
Here is the inside and I added another Rolled Rose and the sentiment is from an older MFT sentiment set.

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card.

Hope you have a stampin' great day!

Hey Stampin' friends! I am sharing this card tonight that I made for this week's MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch Challenge....just getting it in under the wire! It's a great sketch again....don't know how the MFT DT keep coming up with such fab sketches week after week. I've flipped it around for this card but I think I will make another card with it the other way around too.

Photobucket

I have used this adorable Pure Innocence stamp called A Cart Full of Friends! I coloured the little PI girl with my Copics and paper pieced her dress. I added in grass with my Prismacolor Pencils and inked with Distress ink. The papers are from a MME 6x6 paper pad called A Happy Heart....they are gorgeous! I did some faux stitching using my Kelly Panacci Acrylic stitching stamps. I stamped the sentiment that comes with this set on a kraft cardstock cut with the Die-namics Bracket Tab. I added some pearls, crinkled seam binding and a button from my stash.

Photobucket
Here is the inside...this sentiment is from the PI set called Better Get Better.

I coloured the image with my Copic markers and cut it out with my rectangle Nestibilites die.
Photobucket
The papers are BasicGrey Inide Bloom 6x6 pad. I also used my Simply Scallop border Die-namics die and cut the denim scallops from a knee patch. I stamped the little frog stamp from the Feeling Froggy set on the natural Twill Tape. I also used the dies from the Say What Stamps and Die-namics set.

Here is the inside...this sentiment is also from another PI set but I can't remember which one!

My Favorite Things Stamps...A family is a gift...!!

Photobucket
Hey stampin' friends! Back again today to share a co-coordinating card to the card I posted yesterday. This one is for my aunt to thank her for such a lovely visit and dinner that we had when Chris and I went to Chicago, in August. I thought this cute A La Mode girlie from the stamp set called, You Mean the World to Me, would be perfect for this card. My Dad has two sisters who immigrated to the US and my Dad came to Canada from Ireland and then I have many, many more aunts, uncles and cousins still in Ireland.
Photobucket
So, I coloured this cute ALM girl with my Copics and cut her out and stamp the sentiment with the MFT Clearly Sentimental about Family set and I used the MFT Well Worn Greetings Die-namics and Stamp set again and I am loving this set. I also used the Open Scalloped Border Die-namics and some Denim Twinery Twine and a sprinkling of red half-pearls.
Photobucket
Here is the inside...I stamped the A La Mode girl in Danube Blue Memento ink and the sentiment is from an old MFT sentiments set.

Thanks for popping by and having a wee peek at my card! We are going to have our Thanksgiving dinner today....yum! I am looking forward to some turkey and all the fixings. While the turkey is cooking, I think I might go crack the cover on my new Sandra Brown book, Lethal.

Happy Turkey Day!!!!

My Favorite Things Stamps...WSC # 40....Thank You with all my {heart}!!

Photobucket
Hey stampin' friends! I made a card for the MFT WSC Sketch Challenge # 40 today. I'm quite happy with how it turned out. This card is heading off to the USA to my American cousin. I hope she likes it.
Photobucket
Once again, I've used some older papers from my stash. I only had a few sheets of it and I am not even sure who the manufacturer is but it was perfect for this card. I teamed them up with this super sweet MFT A La Mode stamp called Blue without You. I coloured the ALM girlie up with my Copics, paper pieced the star, cut her out and pop-dotted her on the circle panel. I used some Maraschino Twinery Twine and added a white BasicGrey button. I cut the open scalloped border with my Die-namics die. The sentiment is from the Well Worn Greetings Die-namics and Stamp set and I stamped it on white card cut with a die from the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics and Stamp Set.

Photobucket
Here is the inside...I stamped the A La Mode girlie in Lady Bug red Memento ink and I used the Well Worn Greetings Die-namics and Stamp set again. I love how the denim texture stamp from the Well Worn stamp set looks. It was my first time using it and I will definitely be using it again...it looks so much like denim. The sentiment is from the MFT More Essential Sentiments set.

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card!

Happy Stampin'!!!

Pink Ink Sketch Challenge # 7...Sending Well Wishes!

 Photobucket
Hey crafty friends! I'm back again with a card that I made for the Pink Ink Sketch Challenge! They have a gorgeous sketch there by Erica! So, I decided to make a shaker card....this is my very first time attempting this. I am always inspired every time I see one of Camilla's gorgeous shaker cards, so I finally decided to give it a go after reading her instructions on her blog. Don't look too closely on my card here, though, there are a few mistakes. I thought it would be harder than it really was...it is a wee bit fiddly though but I think my second time around will turn out better.
Photobucket
I have been digging into some old paper and I have used this cute Crate paper Called Paper Doll and I have used this sweet My Favorite Things Stamp, Pure Innocence Better Get Better. I coloured this sweet PI girl with my Copic markers and inked with Spun Sugar Distress ink around the image. I bought the Crystal clear acrylic plastic sheets at my LSS and I scored the diamond pattern on it acrylic circle and then used Ice White Viva Decor Pearl pen and added little drops at all the intersections of the grid. I found these cute little jars of micro-beads at the dollar store (Dollarama) and I used them in the shaker card with a little glass glitter. I also added some cork butterflies that I cut with my MFT Butterflies Die-namics.

Photobucket

Here's a close up of the shaker card and below is the inside. The sentiment is a combination of two sentiments from the Better get Better set and Spa Day Pure Innocence stamp sets.

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card for the Pink Ink Sketch Challenge!!!

Some Odd Girl Challenge...A Fab Sketch...P.S. I {Heart} You!!

Photobucket
Hello crafty friends! Hope you are going to have a little turkey this Thanksgiving long weekend with friends and family and enjoy the glorious weather we are having. I wish we could just forgo winter all together and just keep this weather but I'm thinking that is some serious wishful thinking. I also wanted to let you know that I am getting better from the shingles. I can honestly say that I would not wish shingles on my worst enemy. Such a horrible thing to come down with. It is starting to heal up but I still have burning pain in my arm which is worrisome. I just hope that goes way soon.

Photobucket

Well, I made this card this morning for the sketch challenge that they have this week over at the Some Odd Girl Challenge. I rediscovered some old paper that I thought would be perfect for this card. This a 6x6 paper pad called Love Letters by Little Yellow Bicycle Paper Co. Some of the pages are already die cut and there was one with the perfect bracket edge on it!  I teamed this paper up with this super sweet, Some Odd Girl, called Lover Letter Kaylee. I coloured her with my Copics and cut around her and pop-dotted her on the circle panel. The little open scallop border die was cut with my Die-namics and I used the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics to cut the little flag for the Melissa Frances rub-on sentiment. I added a little black crushed velvet ribbon and a sprinkling of gems.

Photobucket

Here is the inside....another Melissa Frances rub-on.

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my SOG Challenge card!

Enjoy your long weekend, turkey, yummy pumpkin pie and I hope you have a little time to get crafty too!

Saturated Canary Challenge # 1 ...You Color My World!

Photobucket
Good morning stampin' friends! I was so excited to see that Krista Smith has started a new Saturated Canary Challenge blog and so I had to play along with the very first challenge! I am totally addicted to her sweet and funky images...you should check them out if you haven't already!!!! So, they have a great sketch to use and I looovvveeee sketches! I decided to flip it and I printed out Kate Krafty A Ragamuffin which I got here at Krista's Etsy shop. I decided to print her out as a larger than usual image...that is the cool thing about digis you can resize them to fit your needs.

Photobucket

I used my BasicGrey 6x6 Out of Print paper pad and American Crafts cardstock and ribbon. I distressed the edges with my Tim Holtz Distressing tool and painted all the edges of the papers with Tim Holtz Picket Fence Crackle paint for a shabby feel.  I also used my MFT Die-nmaics flower dies and the open scallop border die....love adding a touch of black to a card it is a great design element as it grounds and makes other colours pop!
Photobucket
Here is the inside...pretty simple! Both sentiments are from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card!

Have a stampin' great day!!!!

My Favorite Things Stamps...WSC # 39 & October 2011 GDT Contest....Best Witches!

 Photobucket
Hello stampin' friends! This is my entry post for the My Favorite Things Stamps October GDT Contest MFTGUESTDT1011. I also made my card following the great sketch for the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club challenge # 39! This month the GDT contest challenge is to "Get Gifty" and to create the perfect gift packaging! So, I decided to make a cute card with the new Little Witch Pure Innocence stamp set and to make 3  little pumpkin treat gift packages. I cut the pumpkins using a Silhouette digital download file and cut it on my Silhouette Digital Craft Cutter. I filled the pumpkin treat packages with some yummy Halloween Lindor chocolates. So I hope you enjoy the pics of my Haloween treat and card gift set.

Photobucket
I used papers from a 6x6 paper pad by We R Memory Keepers called Spookville. I coloured this super cute Pure Innocence Little Witch with my Copics and paper pieced her hat and dress. I cut her out and pop-dotted her on the panel and I added Gold Smooches to the buckles on her shoes and hat.
Photobucket
Below are the little pumpkin treat packages! I'm quite happy with how they turned out and they were quite easy to assemble. I cut them from American Craft cardstock and co-ordinating paper from the Spookville paper pad. They are filled with some yummy Lindor chocolates and then tied up with brown stain ribbon. I cute the tags with the new Die-namics Dog Tag die from Kraft cardtsock and stamped several sentiments from the Honey Bee and Lollipop Girl Pure Innocence stamp sets. I altered one sentiment that originally said "You're TOO Sweet" by only inking the "OO" and a "B" from another sentiment and now it reads "You're BOO Sweet"! I attached the tags with some BasicGrey painted brads.

Photobucket

Here is a picture of the inside of the card. I stamped a shadow stamp of the Little Witch and the large flowers were cut on my Silhouette and came with the digital file for the pumpkin package and I layered them with a flower from The Die-namics Upsy Daisy Flower Builder set and the Die-namics Fancy Flourish Die.

Photobucket

Thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card and treat packages! Wish me luck on this month's MFT GDT contest...now off to have few chocolates, yum!

Hope you have a stampin' great day!
