Here is the fabulous sketch that we have this week!

 photo MFTWSC126_edited-1RS1_zps7e4adf01.jpg

I used the beautiful Wendy Burns Designs Cupcake Cutie...I SO adore this cutie and her little pooch too. I made my card-base 6X6 and paired Cupcake Cutie with the pretty and feminine Authentique Grace 8X8 papers.  I used the LLD Insert It - InstaFrame and Insert It - 3X4 Notepad Die-namics. I also used the pretty flower Die-namics from Blueprints 3 and the tag from Blueprints 2. The sentiment is from the More Essential Sentiments Set stamped with Steel Blue Premium Dye Ink.

 photo MFTWSC126C_edited-1RS3_zps950e5255.jpg

I paper pieced Cupcake Cutie's dress and coloured her with my Copics. I added in some dark shadows/shading with a Charcoal pencil and a blending stomp. I saw this colouring technique several months ago in a great video tutorial by Tobi from Tobi's Place. I've been meaning to try it myself and finally pulled out the Charcoal pencil that I bought to do this with and gave it ago with this Wendy Burns Designs - Cupcake Cutie. I'm stilling getting the hang of it but I really love how it looks.

 photo MFTWSC126D_edited-1RS4_zps2df9af8d.jpg

Here is the inside...I stamped a shadow image of the Cupcake Cutie in Steel Blue Premium Dye Ink on Whip Cream Heavyweight Card Stock and used the Sweet Stack and Vertical Greetings Die-namics. I added a few more flowers with Orange Fizz Buttons and stamped another sentiment from the More Essential Sentiments set.

Well, thanks SO much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card with this week's MFTWSC126 sketch! This is the SWEET Sketch that we have for you this week!

 photo MFTWSC125E_edited-1RS5_zps52e1326f.jpg

I'm SO loving making cards with the gorgeous MFT Replenishments Heavyweight Card Stock sans pattern paper. Today, I have combined Lemon Drop, Steel Blue, Hot Fudge, Kraft and Whip Cream Heavyweight Card Stock. I mixed and matched various Die-namics from Blueprints 1, 2 and 3 for this A2 sized card. I used the fun Chicken Wire Die-namics too and thought it could double for some "honey comb" to go with the super sweet Doodle Garden - Sweet As Can Bee girl! I coloured her up with my Copics, cut her out and popped her up on the card.  I stamped a sweet sentiment from the Doodle Garden - Sweet As Can Bee with Hot Fudge Premium Dye Ink on Whip Cream Heavyweight Card Stock cut with the Fishtail Flags and Fishtail Layers STAX Die-namics.

 photo MFTWSC125C_edited-1RS3_zps28f93a3e.jpg

I also randomly stamped the Lemon Drop panel and flower with the distressed chicken wire stamp from the Mona Pendleton Distressed Background Blocks with Kraft Premium Dye Ink. I added a pretty Steel Blue Button tied with Hemp Cord to the pretty flower from the Blueprints 3 Die-namics and a little Stickles to the Bee girl's wings!

 photo MFTWSC125G_edited-1RS6_zps767c6d73.jpg

Here is the inside...I stamped a shadow image of the the Doodle Garden - Sweet As Can Bee girl in Hot Fudge Premium Dye Ink and used various elements from Blueprints 1, 2 and 3. I stamped another sweet sentiment from the DG - Sweet As Can Bee Stamp set on Whip Cream Heavyweight Card Stock cut with the cute tag from Blueprints 2 and added another Steel Blue Button and Hemp Cord.

 photo MFTSCRAPSKETCH8D_edited-1RS4_zps434849c5.jpg

I wanted to scrap some pics from out recent trip to Walt Disney World in Florida! This month's fabulous sketch was perfect to scrap these pics of my goofy girl, Hannah! She isn't one bit shy in front of the camera and really had fun goofin' around with Goofy as the Great Goofini at the Storybook Circus - Magic Kingdom. I used Heidi Swapp No Limits 12X12 papers...they were perfect for these pics.

 photo MFTSCRAPSKETCH8E_edited-1RS5_zps6274a02b.jpg

I used the NEW Laina Lamb Designs Document It - Right on Target Stamp set and stamped a few sentiments and the target and arrows from the set. I also stamped the star from the NEW Laina Lamb Designs Document It - Bingo and cut it out with the Circle STAX Die-namics. The stars are cut from blue and red glitter corrugated cardstock with the Star STAX Die-namics and the Stacking Stars Die-namics.

 photo MFTSCRAPSKETCH8G_edited-1RS7_zps3f8ac412.jpg

I cut the circle tag from the Lisa Johnson Designs Howdy Frames Die-namics from pattern paper and blue glittery corrugated cardstock, stamped the date with the Laina Lamb Document it - Days and Dates Stamp set with Red Hot Premium Dye Ink.

 photo MFTSCRAPKSKETCH8I_edited-1RS10_zpsdc130d42.jpg

I stamped randomly around the page with the NEW Mona Pendleton Designs Distressed Background Blocks.

 photo MFTSCRAPSKETCH8F_edited-1RS6_zps8d371e6f.jpg

My Favorite Things Stamps...May Release Rewind...MPD - Dandelion Wishes/Dandelion Stems and Toppers

 photo MFTMayRewindB_edited-1RS2_zps24c7e664.jpg

Hello Stampin' friends!  Welcome to Day 2 of the MFT May Release Rewind! Today I am featuring the  NEW Mona Pendleton Designs - Dandelion Wishes,  the NEW Dandelion Stems and Toppers and the NEW Mona Pendleton Designs - Distressed Background Blocks from the May release that are AVAILABLE NOW in the MFT Boutique!

I made a 12x12 layout and I used this May PageMaps sketch...although I deviated quite a bit and I'm not sure it resembles the sketch now but it was a great starting off point!

 photo MFTMayRewindI_edited-1RS10_zps385656ee.jpg

So this is my first attempt at a little "Mixed Media"...I just stuck my baby toe in to test the water and I really enjoyed it, of course MFT made it SO easy with Mona's New line and the fun NEW Stencil.  I'm quite happy with how my page turned out too! I used these pretty Bo Bunny Prairie Chic 12x12 papers. The photo is one of my faves of my daughter Hannah while camping at Balsam Lake Provincial Park while hiking the Plantation Trail. I printed the 5X7 in Black and White and matted it on MFT Whip Cream Heavyweight Card Stock.

 photo MFTMayRewindC_edited-1RS3_zps9b8bcee9.jpg

I used the NEW Mini Chicken Wire Stencil and Light Modeling Paste to add some dimension and texture here and there. After the modeling paste dried I thought it need a little extra something so I pulled out my Metallic Rub-ons that I've had in my stash for ever...I used the Yellow Gold and rubbed it over the dried Light Modeling Paste...it was the perfect little addition! I also stamped the sentiment from the NEW Laina Lamb Design - Document It - Right on Target Stamp set, stamped on pattern paper cut with the Bracket Tab Die-namics with the NEW Steel Blue Premium Dye Ink and tucked it under the edge of the photo.

 photo MFTMayRewindF_edited-1RS6_zpsec915ede.jpg

Here you can see the texture with the Light Modeling Paste applied over the NEW Mini Chicken Wire Stencil. I also added a few corrugated cardboard butterflies cut with the Butterflies Die-namics and painted with Tim Holtz Distress Crackle Paint in Picket Fence. I also added a little Yellow Gold Metallic Rub-ons to the butterflies and randomly around the page.  The butterflies were embellished with Pink lemonade Buttons tied with Hemp Cord.

 photo MFTMayRewindD_edited-1RS4_zps068859cd.jpg

I cut the NEW Dandelion Stems and Toppers Die-namics from Linen paper and stamped the NEW Mona Pendleton Designs - Dandelion Wishes with Lemon Drop and Kraft Premium Dye Ink and stamped the stems with Factory Green and Gumdrop Green Premium Dye Ink.  The Linen dandelions are layered over a Dainty Doily from the Dainty Doily Duo Die-namics cut from Whip Cream Heavyweight Card Stock. I cut a tag with the Traditional Tag STAX Die-namics and stamped a sentiment from the NEW Mona Pendleton Designs - Dandelion Wishes with the NEW Steel Blue Premium Dye Ink and tied it with Hemp Cord bow.

 photo MFTMayRewindK_edited-1RS12_zps6ac40c45.jpg

I also cut the largest Dotted Scallop Border with the NEW Dotted Scallop Border Trio from Linen paper.

 photo MFTMayRewindE_edited-1RS5_zps264e915e.jpg

I added yet another sweet sentiments from the NEW Mona Pendleton Designs - Dandelion Wishes and cut it out with the Fishtail Flags and Fishtail Layers STAX Die-namics. I also used the  NEW Mona Pendleton Designs - Distressed Background Blocks with Kraft Premium Dye Ink. I didn't adhere the distressed hexagon Stamp to an acrylic block. I just inked it up and held it in my hand and randomly stamped with it around the page.  I used the Notebook Edge Die-namics to cut the edge of the pattern paper.

Thanks SO much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my 12X12 page featuring the NEW Mona Pendleton Designs - Dandelion Wishes,  Mona Pendleton Designs - Distressed Background Blocks and the coordinating Dandelion Stems and Toppers Die-namics. Take a few minutes and pop on over to Kim's blog for links to all the MFT Designers joining the May MFT Release Rewind and then stop by the MFT Boutique to check out all the NEW Stamps and Die-namics that are NOW AVAILABLE!
